RIDING PROGRAM

Valley Park offers holiday programs designed for children ages 6 to 13 of all riding abilities. Our programs offer students a unique opportunity to practice horse handling, learn theory, and experience a minimum of 3 hours of riding time per day.
Our Holiday programs follow usual Victorian term dates.
9am to 3pm daily, excluding public holidays.
Please be aware that we do have riding helmets and boots the children will be able to borrow however they will need to be provided with a packed lunch, long pants, water bottle and suitable clothing for the current season.
Looking for something a little extra? Valley Park offer students a hands on Farm Experience. They will have the opportunity to assist with catching, feeding, rugging and putting the horses away for the night. The Farm Experience runs in both the morning and the evening at the following times (this varies depending on season)
AM Session: 8am to 9am
PM Session: 3pm to 5pm
A DAY AT THE PROGRAM
Each day runs from 9am to 3pm in small groups with experienced instructors. Children spend at least three hours in the saddle, plus time learning to catch, groom and lead their pony, and theory sessions on horse care and safety. First time riders and regular Valley Park riders are grouped by ability, so everyone rides at the right level.
DATES AND BOOKING
Programs run in the Victorian school holidays, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. New dates are announced on this page and on our Instagram before each break. Book online, and add a Farm Experience session before or after the riding day if your child would like extra time with the horses.
NOT READY FOR A FULL DAY?
Private Lessons, Semi Private Lessons and Pony Rides also run through the school holidays.
