Lessons - adults and children
If you are eager to learn how to ride, our experienced instructors will help you develop the confidence and skill-set to safely handle a horse. If you are a more advanced rider, we have horses that will help you develop good horsemanship skills to competition standard.
As we cater for all rider types, lessons are tailored to suit your level of riding experience. If you are a complete beginner we will work with you on the basics of riding. However, if your riding is at more of an intermediate level, we can work on Show Jumping, Dressage and even Cross Country. Our Instructors at Valley Park Riding School have experience in most disciplines.
You don't have to have your own horse to have riding lessons. We have horses that are trained specifically for all riders. In addition to riding, you will learn all aspects of caring for a horse, including safety, grooming, tacking up and horse wellbeing.
Throughout your development in lessons our specialist instructors will train you Dressage, Show-Jumping and Cross Country. Mounted games will also be played with children.
Children’s group lessons are available for beginners up to intermediate riders and run throughout the week and one weekends. Our childrens groups consist of both theory, practical handling and riding time.
There are several adult group lessons available during the week including our fantastic 'Mums who Ride' program for parents who are keen to revisit their riding days or for those completely new to the sport.
We offer private lessons for all ages and riding abilities. Private lessons are available throughout the week and on weekends.
Semi-Private lessons – children and adults
We offer semi-private lessons for both children and adults. These small groups consist of either 2 or 3 riders allowing for more one-on-one time between student and instructor.
Kindy group and private lessons (for 4-5 year olds)
Our Kindy lessons are for children aged 4-5 years who are still in pre-school. We offer both small groups (2 riders) or private Kindy lessons.
Should you wish to organise a slightly larger group, please speak with our office staff and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Pony rides (for 3-5 year olds)
VPRS offers short pony rides around the property throughout the week and on weekends, subject to instructor availability. Please ensure you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
